\"Click<\/a><\/strong> “The perfect two-way!”<\/strong>
\nWas what the magazine Hifi & Musik wrote in an overwhelmingly positive review of Stig Carlssons new version of OA-50, the OA-50.2.
\nThe OA-50.3 is even more improved. The biggest improvement is the absence of the slight hissing from the metal dome tweeter used in OA-50.2.
\nThe OA-50.3 is however not sold as a complete speaker. It is only available as an upgrade kit for owners of earlier models.
\nThe woofer is the SC-165 in its latest version with short circuit ring and age proof rubber surrounds.
\nThe tweeter is a new silk dome tweeter T11-oa developed by the Stig Carlsson Trust and manufactured exclusively for The Stig Carlsson Trust by Vifa. It is characterised by its uncoloured and transparent sound, the idea is not to leave any trace of the speaker in the sound reproduction.
\nThe crossovers are made from air wound inductors and plastic film capacitors. As always the components are carefully selected for their sonic properties.
\nThe OA-50.3 has never been produced as a complete speaker, only sold as an upgrade kit for earlier versions of OA-50 since 2003.<\/p>\n

RESTORATION
\n<\/strong>OA-50.3 is so new so it\u2019s not likely to be in need of a restoration yet.

UPGRADING<\/strong>
\nThere is no level beyond OA-50.3 so there is no technical upgrade available.
\nRe-veneering
\nAs boxes often get worn and looks used with dents, scratches and other surface damages the Carlsson factory has decided to offer re-veneering of the boxes complete with new borders and everything.
\nThe price for re-veneering a pair of OA-50 is 2.500 SEK (ca 270 Euro).
