Cabinet restoration: Sonab badges

My problem isn't that the badges are missing - it's that the cabinets are rough enough to merit a refinish. How are the badges attached to my OA-116s? Are they just glued on, or do they have pins? I am tempted to pry them off, but don't want to take any veneer with them.

You can see here how they are attached. No glue, they have two pins.
