I did that with a MT20HFC several years ago.For comparison I also opened a Seas 5TV-HF.They are similar, the MT20 having a 24mm felt ring and the Seas a 30mm and both are a couple of mms thick. My first reaction was that these damping rings are suprisingly small as there is ample space for larger rings. But what puzzled me most is the fact that the rings have so small holes that the felt material almost touches the voice coil!Well,it has to if the felt ring is mounted the least bit off center.
Sorry, can't show any pictures since I have a brand new PC and haven't installed all programs yet.

I sincerely doubt that the CT 62 would outsell the Obi 10:1. When you listen, there is a big difference . At least I hear it clearly. I think it would be worth the extra outlay because it outperforms the CT 62 quite easily
Re: A Look Inside the CT-62 Tweeter
I just made some new comparative measurements on all the Peerless models (MT20/MT24/CT62) and the Obi T22 on my site http://www.grafpro.se/kondiskanter.html . Unfortunately in swedish, but the graphs are multilingual.
