I need to have the surrounds on my bass-units replaced. Up until recently it was possible to get replacement drivers (OA2212), however I see these are not available at hifikit.se anymore.
I am thinking of having the speaker foam surrounds replaced, since I cannot get the drivers. Do specialist Hi-Fi shops do these only? - I would be most grateful for some help from people in the know about this.
How does one get new surrounds put on?

Welcome to the forum !
I always order my surrounds from an Austrlian company: http://www.speakerbits.com/. Look for their rubber surround 0654K. I´ve bought three pairs from them and all of them fitted nicely.
Speakerbits can also provide you with a simple manual.

Hello!
Rubber surrounds are often heavier and less flexible than foamsurrounds.
These to parameters evens out regarding the resonant frequency but gives you a small reduction in sensitivity in the low range.
This is for the Peereless original foam- and rubber surrounds.
I would look for foam surrounds if I were you.
Best of luck

Why specifically 0654K from SpeakerBits?
Bjed,
Thanks so much for your quick and extremely helpful advice.
I scratched around a little on their site and found some other kits for 6.5" drivers. Is this abovementioned replacement kit specifically intended for the bass units on the OA2212?
I am pleased to hear that you were able to do this yourself and appear to have had good results, since it daunted me at first - to do this privately, at home.

ColesKing:
As I said. I´ve used Speakerbit´s surrounds many times, actually 5 times, with no failure or foul-up
I didn´t use Speakerbits dustcaps as their dustcaps are of the wrong size in cloth-version. Only paper dustcaps are of the right size. Consequently, I had to re-use the old original Peerless dustcaps
Martin is right you know. OEM surrounds doesn´t have the right characteristics as Peerless original ones. I find Speakerbit´s surrounds very flexible and I can´t find out if Speakerbit´s surrounds have any negative influensce on sound.
I you´re uncertainor finds OEM parts doubtful, perhaps you should try to find Peerless original surrounds

Where would I find a Peerless kit?
I have NEVER done this before and I would also then need the step by step instructions to go through with this.
Do you know where one could get hold of such instructions and also the foam surrounds at the same time - basically a Peerless kit I suppose is what I am asking about.

Peerless kit?
I understand that Speakerbits sell with a manual. But Martin suggested FOAM surrounds, not RUBBER as Speakerbits have.
Do you know where one can get FOAM surrounds which correspond to those originally used on the Peerless speakers? - the manual you have said one can get from helpful friends on CP.
