Has anyone tried running active crossovers with OA-116s? A quick google didn't turn up anything. I'm keen to have a try. One of the challenges would seem to be the existing tweeter configuration which is all parallel, giving an impedance of 2 ohms.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Well, I modified one speaker to 3 way active and left one with the standard passive crossover. While I think I could detect some clarification of instruments and vocals, it wasn't enough to be definitively better, so I decided to go back to passive.
