OA-116 - replace wheels with something firmer?

Is there a good reason why the wheels on the OA-116 would be better than something sturdier that would give the cabinets less chance of rocking or vibrating? 4 non-adjustable points of contact are virtually guaranteed to rock on one diagonal or the other. My speakers are on carpet, so that probably pads up the shorter pair, but I would have thought that a more rigid support would be better. Does anyone have any theories, science, or empirical evidence on the subject?
