Hi !
Of course you are free to ask as many questions as you like.
I´m just sorry to say I didn´t understand what came lose from what.
Please explain what the problem was and I´ll try to help you, or someone else will, there are a lot of experienced people here at CarlssonPlanet.
Best regards
Martin

Jag vet inte, vet du?
Thanks Martin, sorry i wasn't clear enough. The speaker was packed upside down in the case so i had to grab the base of the enclosure, the plastic molded base with the port in it, the glue gave out and the base came away from the bottom. Normally this is all sealed and glued and as per Carlsson Planet instructions.....
"The old terminals are today usually gravely oxidised and in bad shape. Therefore they should be replaced by new goldplated binding posts fitted to the bottom of the cabinet. It is not possible though to reach the inside of the speaker at the bottom, as the base of the speaker is an integrated part of the design and thus cannot be removed. And from the upside you cannot reach the bass either, due to the reinforcement sections. Instead you have to take the lead out through the bass-reflex tube to the new binding posts. Done this way the new binding posts are not visible from the front and hence the original design is very little affected." ........
unfortunately I need to re seal the bottom so what sort of glue would I use ..... PVA or epoxy... ?
or should I work on the other enclosure and free the other base and then drill a hole for binding posts ? What do you think ?
regards Geoff

Vad har du att förslå? och köpställe....
Dessa högtalare måste komma upp lite från golvet...
Tackar på förhand
