I have restored a pair of OA12 and did a few modifications. First I wanted to switch from 8 Ohm to 4 Ohm because I use a very old amplifier and the 8 Ohm version was not loud enough. So the crossover had to be changed anyway. I also used different speakers: VIFA P17WJ as the woofer and WESTRA OT57 tweeters. As the VIFA is very good in the lowmids I changed the crossoverfrequency to 3000Hz that is also better for the WESTRA tweeters. I can give you specifications for the speakers and crossover if you want. The combination sound much better than the original and the price for the Woofer and tweeters is only 1/4 of the original Peerless speakers. The sound in the bass and lowmids is very smooth and precise, the VIFA is optimal for the volume and the reflextube. I can supply with 4Ohm and 8 Ohm tweeters so you can restore your OA12s and OA14s to 4 Ohm or leave them to 8 Ohm.[/b]
